Govandi - Providing shelter to a street kid proved a costly proposition for a transport professional, after the kid polished off Rs 1,50,000 from his kitty and is currently absconding.
Govandi resident Shadab found the 13 year old boy begging on the street opposite his office. Feeling sorry for the kid, Shadab gave shelter to the kid and allowed him to stay in his office. On Sunday evening, Shadab kept a cash payment received from a client in the locker and went home. When he returned in the morning, the cash and the boy were missing. He has registered a complaint with the Shivajinagar police station.
