Dilip Patil, Maharashtra Home Minister has asked the Mumbai Police Commissioner, Hemant Nagrale to probe how Param Bir Singh met arrested police inspector, Sachin Waze when he came before the Chandiwal Commission, highlighted reports.

While speaking to reporters on Tuesday, November 30, Patil elaborated on how one can’t meet an accused in judicial custody and that what happened was incorrect. Furthermore, on being asked if the Mumbai police are under pressure since Singh is a senior IPS officer, he refuted the claims.

Patil added that Singh has received protection from the Supreme Court and is appearing before several agencies. He also mentioned that the process is underway for the proposed suspension.

After being untraceable for over 200 days, Singh appeared before the Mumbai police and other authorities post attaining protection from the Supreme Court. Additionally, since his return to Mumbai, Singh has been using the official vehicle, alleged accounts.

Patil believes that Singh shouldn’t do it and has thus, asked the officials to probe the same. Also, on Tuesday, Mumbai's Esplanade Court cancelled the non-bailable warrant against Singh regarding the Marine Drive extortion case.

This happened after Singh appeared before the court and filed an application for it. Facing at least five extortion cases, he also came before the Maharashtra Crime Investigation Department for the second straight day on Tuesday.

He recorded his statement regarding the two-extortion case against him that is being investigated by the body. According to accounts, he also appeared before the DG Home Guard office in south Mumbai.
