He was in good contact with Mumbai police as he was the primary eye-witness in the 2011 Keenan-Reuben murder case

Prime witness in Amboli Murder Case found murdered

Amboli double-murder case (2011) prime eye-witness Avinash Solanki aka Balicha (38) was found murdered at his office on Monday. His dead body was found at Andheri’s Apollo Industrial Estate, shop no. 34. Solanki was hit on his head, stomach and his private parts. MIDC police are looking for two suspects who might have killed Solanki. His dead body has been sent to Cooper Hospital for post-mortem.


What’s the story?


In 2011, Kenan Santos and Reuben Fernandes were murdered when both of them tried protecting their female friends who were being molested. Solanki being a prime eye-witness and helped Amboli police arrest Jitendra Rana, Satish Sulah, Sunil Bodh, and Dipak Tival. All the accused were sentenced to life imprisonment in 2016.

He was an eye-witness for one more case where encounter specialist Vijay Salaskar’s informant Irfan Maqbool Hassan Khan aka Irfan Chindi was murdered in 2009. Solanki had good contacts with the police. 10-years-ago, Solanki’s friend Nilesh was arrested in connection to drugs. 

Nilesh is currently out on bail. 

Police are investigating the exact cause of his murder. Meanwhile, police believe that Solanki was murdered by his friend. Along with this, it is believed that Solanki was associated with one of the political parties.
