Marine Lines - The Queen's necklace of Marine Drive, a spot for citizens and tourists to enjoy at night, is steadily becoming a dangerous spot to be in.
Around 5 am this morning, a Maruti Swift Dzire traveling at a speed of 130-140 km/hr, rammed into a car. Two people inside the Swift were injured and were rushed to a hospital nearby. Marine Drive police have taken the Swift car into custody and say the driver was intoxicated.
Further investigations are on. The incident underlines the phenomenon of fast running bikes, cars vrooming past the Marine Drive. These adrenaline junkies do not care about people or vehicles, all they appear to care about is the speed, race and the adrenaline rush.
