Your Honor begins with judge Bishan Khosla (Jimmy Sheirgill), an honest and unbiased judge, who believes in giving judgements with honestly. His son Abeer (Pulkit Makol) gets involved in a hit and run car accident, and this makes Bishan take steps he has never taken - where he has to let go of the moralities and ethics to save his son. He is a single dad and as a judge uses all his knowledge and power to weave a plan. Upon meeting Inspector Kiran Sekhon )Mita Vashisht), he gets to know that the injured belongs a violent gangster, whose father was sent behind the bars by Bishan himself. He seeks help from his friends, Kashi (Varun Badola) and Ruma (Parul Gulati) and the story then follows the wicked plan made by an honourable man to sacrifices his principles to save his only son. 'Your Honor' is directed by E Niwas, created by Applause Entertainment, and it is an Indian adaptation of the Israeli web series, Kyoto, created by Ron Ninio and Shlomo Mashiach.

The story is simple and intriguing, and one begins to enjoy the show immediately because the makers do not waste time in setting the plot. Everything is made clear from the first frame, and that's one of the best aspects of the show. However, some aspects related to Abeer and his affection for a teacher could have been reduced or avoided. It does not prove a lot and did seem forceful in some episodes.

The skills of a director (E Niwas) come across well in the show, as he has ensured a lot of drama and suspense in every episode. There are twists which are well incorporated and stronger performances by renowned cast add a lot to the experience.

Jimmy Sheirgill character is layered, and he portrays a judge, father, friend, son-in-law and a lover, with ease. We have not seen Jimmy in such a character before, and he is convincing as Bishan Khosla. Pulkit Makol tries hard, and one may not like him immediately, but his work shines in the later episodes, especially in the last few. Varun Badola, once again, seems comfortable playing Kashi and his style as a 'Bhaiya' (from UP) comes across effortless and very natural. But the highlight of the show is Mita Vashisht who plays inspector Kiran Sekhon. Her experience and expertise shine in her role, as she juggles between several shades of a woman. She is strong, vulnerable, and bad-a** at the same time. Other actors have well-sketched characters, but the delivery is mediocre.

The plot is the winner of Your Honour, as it is something one would have imagined, but never watched on-screen through characters or sub-plots, but not as a full-length web series. The strength of the show is the writing, as twists and turns matter a lot, in a thriller, which has become the most-loved genre on digital mediums. The actors offer their bit, but it is the characters and the twists, which will keep one hooked.

A well-thought direction which takes the viewer from one episode to another, without losing the thought, makes this an interesting watch. The pace may be a bit slow due to some unnecessary scenes and characters, but patience will be needed here.

To sum it up, Your Honour is highly recommended. It is riveting and will leave you waiting for season 2.
