SAB TV’s latest offering Aladdin: Naam Toh Suna Hoga gears up to take viewers back in time to the Middle Eastern era of lavish palaces and vast deserts, flying carpets and the quest for the magic lamp. With a generous dose of magic and mystery, the show is based on the age-old fantasy of a 20-year old boy, Aladdin, and his trysts with love and fate.

Produced by Nissar Parvez and Alind Srivastava of Peninsula Pictures, Sony SAB’s Aladdin will retell the legendary folklore in a grander avatar, action-packed, yet amusing scenarios with a contemporary twist.

Popular television actor Siddharth Nigam will be seen essaying the character of Aladdin. He is a charismatic rebel who gets his work done promptly with his smooth-talking skills and street smartness. In a candid chat with Mumbai Live Siddharth said, “When I portray the character of Aladdin, I feel that nothing is impossible for Aladdin. Personally, I have learnt a lot from him. In the show we have added few lines of Shah Rukh Khan sir, so yes this Aladdin is quite different".

Paired opposite Aladdin is Yasmine, the feisty princess of Baghdad, played by Avneet Kaur. Unlike a stereotypical princess, Yasmine is a fighter, the first one to voice her opinion or challenge any wrongdoing. A pro at self-defence with excellent swordsmanship, she adds romance and action into the life of Aladdin. “Aladdin was my forever favourite cartoon, I used to love watching Aladdin movies, cartoon series. Aladdin: Naam Toh Suna Hoga is a daily TV series so here we will be exploring many aspects of the tale. I and Siddhartha have had attended many workshops in order to get the characters right”, Avneet stated

The show will be aired from August 21, Monday to Friday at 9:00 pm on Sony SAB.
