Save Aarey: Metro Shed Construction Can Go On In Mumbai, No Cutting Of Trees Till Next Hearing On Nov- SC

In a recent hearing of the Aarey case that was held on Monday, October 21, the Supreme Court (SC) ruled out that a status quo should be maintained at Aarey till the next hearing which will be on November 15 and the construction can go on.

SC bench of Justice Arun Mishra and Justice Deepak Gupta has continued with the Status Quo order in Aarey. The Solicitor General Tushar Mehta made a statement on behalf of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and assured that no trees are being cut anywhere else inside Aarey.

Further, Senior advocate Mukul Rohatgi also assured the court that "absolute" status quo has been maintained and that no trees have been cut since the top court's previous order.
