After Bombay High Court banned sound systems during Ganpati Visarjan (immersion), the DJ owners on Monday visited Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray at his residence.

Supporting the demands of DJ owners, Thackeray asked them to wait for the court’s verdict on this matter, however, if the Ganpati Mandal allows it, he asked them to play the sound system during the immersion process.

DJ owners from Mumbai, Pune, Nashik, and Thane met Raj Thackeray at Krishna Kunj in Dadar West. This happened after the Bombay High Court sustained the ban on sound systems during the immersion saying that the problem of noise pollution cannot be ignored.

During the visit, the MNS chief advised the DJ owners to wait for the court order until September 19 as the ban remains for the time being. However, Thackeray has played safe speaking on this judicial matter.
