The FIFA U-17 World Cup is around the corner and the first official FIFA event is creating waves of excitement in the country.


20,000 tickets sold

DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai will be one of the many host stadiums in India and when tickets went on sale, 20,000 were sold in no time for the first game. DY Patil Stadium can accommodate 45,000 people out which 20,000 are already sold out.

The organisers expect more tickets to be sold as with over a week to go for the first game.

Stadium renovated for the World Cup 

DY Patil Stadium has been renovated for the FIFA U-17 World Cup with new seats and the field has been treated for the matches to be played at an optimum level.

Bus arrangements have also been made from Juinagar and Nerul railway stations.

The tournament kicks off on October 6 with New Zealand vs Turkey followed by host country India vs the United States.
