Hero Indian Super League (ISL) franchise Mumbai City FC recently signed Senegalese professional footballer Modou Sougou who will play for the team as a winger. Before being associated with the Islanders, Modou played for Moreirense on loan.
The Senegalese has also played for Romanian club CFR Cluj and was associated with the current MCFC head coach Jorge Costa. In fact, the player had stated that one of the major reasons behind signing with Cluj was manager Jorge Costa.

Indian Super League 2018-19 will commence on September 29 with the maiden match between ATK and Kerala Blasters FC. Meanwhile, Mumbai City is off to a pre-season camp and recently played a friendly against Chiangmai FC (CMFC) which resulted in a 2-2 draw.
