Dr. Pallavi Saple appointed as the new JJ Hospital dean

Dr. Pallavi Saple will take over as the new JJ Hospital dean Friday, September 13 onwards. Meanwhile, the current dean, Dr. Ajay Chandanwale, has been transferred back to BJ Medical College in Pune

Paediatrician Dr. Pallavi Saple will be taking over as the new dean of the prestigious JJ Hospital, Friday, September 13 onwards. The state-run hospital will now be managed by Dr. Saple who heads the Government Medical College in Miraj. 

Accordingly, as she has been transferred to the Mumbai hospital, the current dean, Dr. Ajay Chandanwale, has been transferred back to BJ Medical College in Pune, which he headed earlier.

Throughout his nine-month-long stint with JJ Hospital, Dr. Chandanwale raised close to ₹4 crore through corporate social responsibility (CSR) for the hospital’s upgradation.

The current dean is also credited for starting work on a token system in the out-patient department to streamline the crowd. He had also effected several minor yet crucial changes like putting up dustbins in every corner.

Saple is former JJ Hospital student and previously, she has also provided services to the hospital as a doctor. She had headed the pediatric section and was also a professor in the same institution.
