The Goregaon East Metro station on the 'Dahisar-Gundavali Metro 7' route will be connected to the Ram Mandir railway station by a foot over bridge. A contractor has been appointed to construct a foot over bridge between Goregaon Metro Station and Ram Mandir Railway Station. The work of this bridge will be started soon.
It has been decided to connect metro stations with railway stations for the passenger’s convenience. According to this decision, Goregaon metro station and Ram Mandir railway station on the 'Metro 7' route will be connected by a FOB. The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) had invited tenders for this work in October 2022. Three tenders were submitted for this work. One of those tenders has been finalised and approved. The appointment of the contractor has been approved in the executive committee meeting of the authority held on Thursday.
M/s Neeraj Structurals Limited and M/s. Force Construction Pvt. Ltd. (Joint Venture) has been appointed for the construction of a FOB. This foot over bridge will be constructed at a cost of INR 210 crore. As the tender is finalised, the work is likely to start soon. If this bridge is opened, there will be great convenience for the passengers.
