The Railways have given the green signal to make special trains operational for people coming to Mumbai from UP and Bihar from September 19 in view of increasing demand for travel.

These trains will run from Gorakhpur three days a week and from Chapra three days a week to Mumbai via Azamgarh. The trains are to run as per the scheduled time of Godan Express. According to sources, there will be no change in the timings. However, these trains are to run in addition to the three pairs of special trains that are already passing through the district.

Down below are the dates for the train departure, the train number and the locations.

September 17 - 01059 - LTT - Chapra - Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday

September 19 - 01060 - Chapra - LTT - Thursday, Saturday, Monday

September 18 - 01055 - LTT - Gorakhpur - Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday

September 20 - 01056 - Gorakhpur - LTT - Wednesday, Friday, Sunday, Thursday

Akhilesh Singh, Divisional Commerce Inspector, Azamgarh, speaking to the media further stated that as the demand for the trains going to Mumbai was high, in order to facilitate the passengers, these special trains have been initiated. This is touted to bring about relief to the people looking to travel to Mumbai.
