For the first time ever, Mumbai will host night bazaars between January 12 and 31 as a part of the Mumbai Shopping Festival which was announced a month ago.

The night bazaars or flea markets will be held in three non-residential areas at Worli Seaface on January 13-14, Mindspace in Malad on 19-20 and Galleria Mall in Powai on 26-27 during the weekends and will remain open till 4:00 AM!

The officials associated with the festival said that there will be shopping and entertainment events through the night in these zones along with food trucks serving international and local flavours.

The new regulation that allows shops to function 24/7 was recently introduced and this festival has been possible due to the same, the officials said.

According to the senior officials of the MTDC, more than 5,000 brands, including malls and departmental stores, have been approached to participate in the fest and offer discounts for their products. With over 500 performances across the city and multiple stages in 13 locations, the most popular places like Girgaum Chowpatty, Crawford Market, Carter Road, Bandra; Worli Sea Face, Shivaji Park, Dadar, Juhu Beach etc.

While most of the events are free, there will be tickets for some.
