Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh has taken a dig at the central agencies investigating the Sushant Singh Rajput death case. The central agencies including the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) have been investigating the SSR death case from various angle.

Actress Rhea Chakraborty, Sushant Singh’s girlfriend, was arrested by Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) after she confessed that she sourced the drugs for Rajput. Chakraborty, booked under the National Drug & Psychotropic Substances Act for allegedly possessing drugs and its consumption, was questioned by NCB for three days.

Deshmukh, however, pointed out that the mystery of whether Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide or was murdered remains unresolved. The SSR death case was transferred for CBI to probe the murder angle but it remains unanswered, he added.

“We have digressed from the issue of Sushant Singh Rajput’s murder or suicide. The CBI was handed over the case investigate the same but it remains unanswered. Now, something else is being discussed,” the Maharashtra Home Minister said.

Deshmukh also revealed that Mumbai Police hadn’t registered an FIR into the death of Sushant Singh Rajput as there was no allegation made by the family in the statement given to the police. The minister informed that Sushant’s family including his father came to Mumbai, they didn’t suspect anyone.

Interestingly, Sushant’s father KK Singh filed an FIR with Patna Police which led to the transfer of this case to CBI from Mumbai Police. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has also been probing the money laundering angle in the SSR death case.

Meanwhile, the NCB has arrested two more persons in connection with the investigation related to drug angle in the SSR death case. On Monday, the agency had arrested Suryadeep Malhotra who is a school friend of Rhea Chakraborty’s brother Showik Chakraborty.
