Maharashtra Transport Minister Anil Parab on Monday took a dig at Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari who recently met Kangana Ranaut after a part of her office in Bandra was demolished by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).

Reacting to the meeting, Parab said that the Governor should also meet poor people whose ‘illegal’ huts have been demolished by the civic body.

Shiv Sena has caught itself in a tussle with Bollywood Actress Kangana Ranaut and is also facing criticism over the attack on an ex-navy officer Madan Sharma who has demanded the resignation of Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.

However, Parab said that Shiv Sena will not tolerate offensive language against Thackeray family. Sharma, 62, was attacked by a group of Shiv Sena activists led by Kamlesh Kadam - shakha pramukh of party’s Kandivali branch in Mumbai - for forwarding a cartoon on WhatsApp.

The cartoon depicted Thackeray, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar, Congress interim President Sonia Gandhi and mocked the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government. Earlier, Kangana has also responded to Shiv Sena with sharp attacks against the Chief Minister.

Parab said that there was a need to observe restraint by everyone. He said that immoderate remarks have been made against Shiv Sena leaders which have led to reactions.

“There will be some reaction by the activists if someone uses foul language against Matoshree. We are not justifying the attack (against ex-Navy officer). However, it is important that everyone should observe some restraint,” senior Shiv Sena leader Anil Parab said.

He further said that the criticism against the government will not be objected but it doesn’t mean that anything can be said. It won’t be tolerated, Parab added.
