After Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray’s speech at Dussehra Melava, it has become clear that Shiv Sena intends to solely contest in Maharashtra Assembly elections next year.
However, Sena’s current ally in Maharashtra, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has been adamant to form an alliance with Shiv Sena. With no positive response from the side of the regional party, BJP has given Shiv Sena an ultimatum to take a decision regarding the same.

According to sources, BJP president Amit Shah asserted that Shiv Sena should soon decide if they want to form an alliance for the upcoming Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha polls or else fight it alone.
Ahead of upcoming elections, Shiv Sena launched its political campaign with Hindutva and Ram Mandir agenda as the priority. Thackeray has made it clear that his party will contest the elections alone, while BJP’s ultimatum shows its desperation to form the coalition.
