It is learnt that along with Patil, his family members including his wife, sons, daughter, nephew and daughters-in-law have also been tested COVID-19 positive. The BJP MP informed that his family has been active in lending support to people during the lockdown period.

The media reports suggest that Patil’s wife tested COVID-19 positive a week ago after which 10 of his family members got tested. Of the 10 swab tests, seven of them were tested positive for the coronavirus including Patil himself.

Patil’s wife is admitted to a private hospital in Mumbai and is undergoing treatment while the BJP MP has home quarantined himself as he is asymptomatic. During the lockdown, Bhiwani witnessed a rise in the number of COVID-19 cases after which Patil and his family extended help to locals and reached out to people in surrounding areas as well.
