The media reports suggest that Patil’s wife tested COVID-19 positive a week ago after which 10 of his family members got tested. Of the 10 swab tests, seven of them were tested positive for the coronavirus including Patil himself.

Patil’s wife is admitted to a private hospital in Mumbai and is undergoing treatment while the BJP MP has home quarantined himself as he is asymptomatic.
