Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Nilesh Rane has attacked Shiv Sena over the drug probe in connection with the Sushant Singh Rajput death case. He alleged Shiv Sena’s involvement in the drug racket saying that the party’s end is near.

“What was the identity of Shiv Sena and what has happened now. Rapists, drug dealers, ransom seekers, murder cases are the hallmarks of today's Shiv Sena. There is a saying in Marathi 'Ati Tithe Mati' ...Shiv Sena's end is near (sic),” Rane tweeted in Marathi.

The Rane family has been constantly targeting Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray and his son Aaditya Thackeray regarding the ongoing probe in the SSR death case. Nilesh Rane has also levelled serious allegations against Shiv Sena over the Nanar project in Konkan.

While addressing a press conference, the BJP leader said even though Shiv Sena says that the oil refinery project in Nanar is over but a committee wants the project back. Rane claimed that senior officials from a company are in touch with the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) to make the refinery project happen in Rajapur instead of Raigad.

“If you are saying that the project has been cancelled, why are there discussions regarding this?” Rane asked.

A company called Sugi Developers has acquired 1,400 acres of land in Nanar under the name of Deepak Waingankar, Rane said while claiming that one of the directors of Sugi Developers - Nishant Subhash Deshmukh - is the brother-in-law of Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.
