BJP will rule BMC- Kirit Somaiya

Vikhroli- After breaking ties with the Shiv Sena, the Bhartiya Janta Party is ready to fly solo. The party has made up its mind to make Mumbai free from the water tanker mafia, and to do away with Kanjurmarg’s dumping ground. Along with this, the party has also planned to bring transparency in the BMC.
“We are ruling at the Centre and the state as well, and soon we will rule BMC,” said Kirit Somaiya, BJP MP from Mumbai. He said this during a corporators' meet which took place on the evening of 26 January 2017.
During this meet, MNS ex-corporator Mangesh Sangle joined the BJP along with this 80 MNS supporters. Other than this, 20 Congress party workers joined the BJP.
