WhatsApp, which has become an effective and useful medium of communication in the world, has made a new platform available through channels and on September 19 a separate channel of the Chief Minister's Secretariat was launched. This certified channel is getting an overwhelming response from the users and within a short time of launching the channel, more than 40 thousand users have followed the channel.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, various public welfare schemes are being implemented effectively in the state. While implementing this, the Chief Minister has directed to use modern technology to provide accurate and objective information about people-oriented schemes and development projects to the people, so that if the information about the government's schemes and decisions reaches the people, they can get benefits.

Currently, social media like X (Twitter), Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Threads, Koo, Telegram and other social media as well as instant messaging apps are used to inform the public through the Public Relations Office of the Chief Minister's Secretariat. After WhatsApp announced the channel last week, the Chief Minister's Secretariat contacted the company and a separate, certified channel named 'CMO Maharashtra' was launched on Wednesday.
