Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Leader of Opposition (LoP) Devendra Fadnavis on Thursday took a dig at Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray stating that the Shiv Sena chief seemed to have forgotten that he was speaking in the assembly and not addressing an election rally at Shivaji Park.

Fadnavis’ remarks come after Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray slammed the BJP while speaking in the lower house over various issues which were raised by the opposition party.

Former CM Devendra Fadnavis said that Uddhav Thackeray failed to answer a single question on various issues raised by the opposition including the financial compensation to farmer affected by floods due to untimely rains.

Thackeray didn’t think it was necessary to mention farmers and their issue. Forget about the compensation of ₹25,000 per hectare, he didn’t promise a single penny to the farmers. The CM forgot that he was addressing the assembly and not a political rally,” said Fadnavis.

Shiv Sena-led Maharashtra Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government has approximated that it will provide ₹60,000 crore to help the affected farmers due to the untimely rainfall.
