Mumbai – State finance minister Sudhir Mungantiwar presented the economic survey report in the State Legislature on Friday. According to the report, the earning of the state has increased as well as loan burden on the state has also gone up.
Main points of the survey report
- The state is under the burden of Rs 3,56, 223 crore. The per capita income of the state has increased.
- The income of the state has increased to Rs 1,47,399 crore as compared to 2014-15.
- The total tax income in 2016 stands at 1,40,864 crore which is 11.04% more than last financial year.
- The revenue expenditure of the state in 2016-17 is expected to be Rs 2,24,455 crore.
- Growth rate of the state is 9.4%.
- More tax collected this year even after demonetization.
