Bollywood Actress Kangana Ranaut, who has been locked in the tussle with Shiv Sena-led Maharashtra government for days, on Sunday met Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari at Raj Bhavan. She was accompanied by her sister Rangoli Ranaut.

“I met Governor Koshyari and told him about the unjust treatment I have received. I hope justice will be given to me so that the faith of all citizens including young girls, is restored in the system. I am fortunate that the Governor listened to me like a daughter,” Ranaut said while leaving for her house in Khar West.

The meeting between Ranaut and Koshyari lasted for about 45 minutes and comes amid the tussle with Shiv Sena. The actress is likely to leave for her hometown in Himachal Pradesh tomorrow.

Earlier, Ranaut and Shiv Sena chief spokesperson were indulged in a war of words over the actress’ remarks comparing Mumbai to Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK).

Recently, the tussle intensified after the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) decided to demolish a portion of Ranaut’s office in Pali Hill citing illegal structure violations. Reacting to this, Kangana slammed Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray saying that his “ego will be destroyed” the way her house was demolished.

However, Shiv Sena has decided to distance itself from the whole Kangana Ranaut ‘episode’. This happened after Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar and Sanjay Raut met the Chief Minister. Sources have confirmed that the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government has decided that its leaders will stay away from the controversy.

On September 12, Ranaut shared a fan-made illustration of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj handling her a sword and Uddhav Thackeray was depicted as ‘Raavan’ in the background.
