After the mango-producing farmers were not allowed to set up stalls in Thane, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) picked up the issue and decided to carry out a morcha over the issue on Friday.

Although MNS chief Raj Thackeray won’t be able to join the Morcha. However, on Thursday, Thackeray wrote a letter to the farmers urging them to join the Morcha.

The Morcha will be carried out from Gaondevi Maidan in Thane to the Municipal headquarters.

Many farmers come to the city to sell fruits and vegetables to get good prices for their agricultural produce. They are driven to the cities to sell their produce in order to raise money for their daily needs. They are being harassed by corrupt politicians, officers, and goons. The condition is such that without giving extortion money they can’t do their business,” MNS chief Raj Thackeray said in his letter.
