Senior Congress leader and Former Union Minister Gurudas Kamat’s last rites were colcluded with the state honour in Chembur. Before this, many of his friends and supporters visited topay their tribute. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis also paid homage to the late leader. 

The Congress veteran passed awayon Wednesday in New Delhi. After a heart attack, Kamat was rushed to a private hospital in Chankyapuri. On Thursday, at his Chembur residence, his body was kept for his fellow supporters to pay their homagefrom 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM. Kamat’slastrites were concluded at 1:00 PM.

Several leaders and his colleagues attended the death ceremony including Maharashtra Swabhimani Party President and MP Narayan Rane, Mumbai BJP President Ashish Shelar, BJP MP Kirit Somaiya, Housing Minister Prakash Mehta, Maharashtra Congress President Ashok Chavan, Mumbai Congress President Sanjay Nirupam, Former Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan, Mumbai NCP chief Sachin Ahir and others.
