Uddhav Thackeray said that they wanted 48 hours time but were given only 24.He even took a jibe at Maharashtra governor's and said instead of 48 hours they have been given 6 months. He also added that they also need clarity on issues just like NCP and Congress.

While talking to the media Ahmed Patel termed the imposition of President's Rule in Maharashtra as "anti-democratic". He also raised the point that Maharashtra governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari had not called Congress to form the government, despite being the fourth largest party in the state.
Talking about forming an alliance with NCP and Shiv Sena for government formation, he said, "We will not form an alliance in haste". He shared that a common minimum programme has to be worked out.
