In a new development amid the Lok Sabha elections, former Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) chief and founder of Hindustan Nirman Dal (HND), Praveen Togadia has fielded a candidate against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Manoj Kotak from Mumbai North-East constituency.
After leaving VHP, Togadia has been vocal against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In order to mark its opposition, the HND has fielded its candidate from Mumbai North-East and Thane LS seat. Along with this, Togadia is campaigning against Modi and BJP across the country.
Hindustan Nirman Dal has chosen to filed Nilesh Kudtarkar against BJP’s Kotak, while the party has fielded Omkar Tiwari to contest from Thane. HND has named 160 candidates across the country including Maharashtra, to contest the national election against BJP.

Togadia informed that if they are voted to power, they will pass an ordinance within a week to construct Ram Mandir. Along with this, the HND has assured to give a reasonable price to the farmers for their crops and has promised to provide loan waiver.
