As the Maharashtra Assembly Elections are all set to be held on October 21, the Maharashtra police are trying their best to ensure that there are no illegal activities related to the elections happening around.

Maharashtra's Director General of Police (DCP) Subodh Kumar Jaiswal along with his team had raided certain places in the state and has seized various items worth ₹80 crores. Along with money, the items included intoxicants, jewellery and gifts to lure the voters.
Notably, the preparations for the Maharashtra Assembly Elections are in full swing with 288 constituencies. There are over 96 thousand polling stations across the state.
