BJP's election 'war room' will be started within a month in all 48 Lok Sabha and 288 assembly constituencies in the state. Election chiefs of BJP have also been appointed for each Lok Sabha and Assembly constituencies. BJP state president Chandrashekhar Bawankule told Loksatta that the constituencies left by BJP for Shiv Sena (Shinde group) and Nationalist Congress (Ajit Pawar group) candidates will remain BJP's election chiefs and they will also benefit from this war room. 


BJP is also responsible for electing the candidates of the ruling coalition parties Shiv Sena and NCP. Therefore, Bawankule explained that where the seats will go to the cooperative parties, they will use the BJP's election system.


BJP has started preparations for next year's Lok Sabha and Assembly elections. Although the candidature of all sitting MLA-MPs of BJP is not confirmed, the party has recently issued instructions to them to start war rooms in their constituencies. Where there are no BJP MLA-specialists, the BJP has appointed constituency-wise election chiefs who have been instructed to start war rooms. A period of one month has been given for this. Shiv Sena and NCP government are in power along with BJP. Their seats have not been allotted yet. But where the party has sitting MLA-MPs, the seats will probably remain with those parties.

Some seats are subject to change. The seats, which are not held by BJP, Shinde and Ajit Pawar group, will be distributed according to the instructions of BJP party leaders. But currently, BJP has started preparations by setting up war rooms and other systems in all Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha constituencies. BJP's election chief will also work in the constituencies where Shinde and Ajit Pawar are MLA-MPs. BJP sources said that those parties have also been requested to appoint their leaders as election chiefs.


BJP has started Mahajan Sampark Abhiyan and instructions have been given to go to at least 60,000 homes in each assembly constituency and to launch the Saral app on the mobile phones of at least 30,000 citizens. It has been said that every MLA, MP and Chief Election Officer should be active on social media to create WhatsApp groups to convey the information of central and state government decisions to the public immediately. The reports, information and election preparations will be reviewed through the War Room. State President Bawankule is going on a tour of 28 Lok Sabha constituencies from August 20 to November 4 and will review the election preparations.
