The blame game between the ruling coalition government of Eknath Shinde-BJP and Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena after Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Monday, October 31, clarified on the projects running out from the state.

It is pertinent to note that this development came days after the Gujarat government earlier this month bagged the INR 22,000 crores Tata-Airbus project, which attracted a lot of criticism from the opposition.

While addressing a press conference, Fadnavis exclaimed: “A false narrative is being created that after our government came to power, big projects are going out of Maharashtra. It's not true. Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government is to be blamed for the loss of projects.”

“Tatas were looking at Gujarat for Tata Airbus deal as early as 2021. MVA was informed a year ago that the deal has already gone to Gujarat. In the last 2.5 years of MVA government, there were so many cases of corruption that's why no industry wants to come here,” he further stated.

Ensuring that Maharashtra will be one of the hub for investments in the next two years, Deputy CM reiterated: “The mega refinery project will continue in Maharashtra. The center has given the maximum amount of infrastructure projects to the state. We've planned to invest INR 25,000 crores in Maharashtra.”
