For the first time, in the last five days, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS)chief Raj Thackeray spoke about the ongoing Maratha protest for the reservation in jobs and education.

Dear protestors, the state government does not care about you. You live or die, it doesn’t matter. It actually never mattered to the previous government nor the existing one. This government only wants your vote. Actually, the state government should have taken the decision long back. They are only playing with your emotions. The state is least bothered but I need your and your family’s support to shape Maharashtra’s future,” said Raj Thackeray, MNS Chief.

Considering the ongoing suicides owing to the Maratha Kranti Morcha, Thackeray took to Twitter and requested protestors to not end their lives.

I really admire the silent protest carried out by Maratha Kranti Morcha which was one-of-its-kind. However, Kakasaheb Shinde should not have died. But, I request that no Marathi youngster, be it Dhangar, Maratha, Agri, Vanzari, Brahman or Dalit, should attempt suicide. We can’t afford to lose the Maratha youngsters,” he said.

Meanwhile, Thackeray addressed Maratha protestors that they should not fall for the casteism. He blamed that outsiders are the ones who are responsible for all the chaos. He added these people have intentions to loot Maharashtra. It seems the outsiders want people to fight amongst themselves in Maharashtra, said Thackeray.

He criticised the government adding that they should not play with people's emotions and should quit if they cannot meet Maratha Kranti Morcha protestors’ demands.
