On Tuesday, May 10, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray rebuked state chief minister Uddhav Thackeray over the state's inaction on the party's demand to remove loudspeakers from mosques, reports stated. 

Based on accounts, the MNS Chief warned Thackeray against testing the party's patience. The MNS head took to Twitter to say, "I have only one thing to say to the state government; Do not see the end of our patience. Power comes and goes. No one has brought the copper plate of power. Uddhav Thackeray, not you!."

Along with the tweet was a letter that reportedly elaborated on how after he appealed to all Indians to remove loudspeakers from mosques, the state government has been acting as if it has taken leave of its senses.

According to narratives, the letter added on how the arrests of MNS activists were made prior to them commencing their loudspeaker agitation. For those unversed, MNS party workers on May 4 had staged a protest to put into force the Supreme Court (SC) order against noise pollution. 

It has been reported that the letter elucidated that the police issued restraining notices to nearly 28,000 MNS workers while thousands were externed, and others were imprisoned. 

In the letter, Raj questioned if the police had conducted a big combing operation like this to seize weapons or catch terrorists hiding in mosques.
