After a book comparing Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Prime Minister Narendra Modi was launched, the political parties in Maharashtra have been protesting against the same.

The book - ‘Aaj ke Shivaji: Narendra Modi’ - authored by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Jai Bhagwan Goyal has created a huge ruckus in Maharashtra.

Shiv Sena has sought a ban on the book while other parties including Congress, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has also attacked the BJP.

While talking to the reporters, MNS leader Bala Nandgaokar said that Jai Bhagwan Goyal has done an “idiotic” job by authoring this book comparing Shivaji Maharaj and Modi.

The BJP leaders should educate Jai Bhagwan Goyal. He has done an ‘idiotic’ job comparing Shivaji Maharaj and Narendra Modi. Currently, he is Delhi but there will be a time when Goyal will visit Mumbai soon,” said Nandgaonkar.

The MNS leader, however, defended Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying that it is not his mistake, he must not even be aware that someone has written this book about him.
