After Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray unveiled the saffron agenda for his party, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi said that the MNS chief changes keeps colour as often as the season change (mausam ki tarah rang badalte hai).

On the occasion of Shiv Sena founder Bal Thackeray’s birth anniversary, MNS organised its first-ever conclave. While addressing the gathering of party workers, MNS chief Raj Thackeray had said that the use of loudspeakers during Namaz causes disturbance and it should be removed.

“This is not the first time that I am saying this. Your religion should be at your home. We (Hindus) also do ‘Aarti’ (prayer) but that doesn’t trouble anyone. But the use of loudspeakers during Namaz causes disturbance and it should be removed,” said Raj Thackeray.

Reacting to this, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi said that Raj Thackeray changes his colour and is a “Rangbadlu Hindu”.

However, Thane MNS leader Avinash Jadhav attacked Owaisi saying that he should speak with caution while threatening to slap the AIMIM chief.

Moreover, MNS spokesperson Bala Nandgaokar also threatened Asaduddin Owaisi in a video. Nandgaokar said, “don’t mess with MNS or else ask Abu Azmi about the results.

Earlier, MNS MLAs had beaten up Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Abu Azmi in the Maharashtra assembly in the year 2009 for taking oath in Hindi.

Raj Thackeray on Thursday launched a new party flag and unveiled the party’s saffron agenda. In a major shift, Raj Thackeray-led MNS dumped its party flag – a mix of saffron, green and blue along with train engine – and adopted a new one that is only saffron in colour.

Hijacking the ‘Hindutva’ and ‘sons of the soil’ issues, the MNS chief said that these two will be the agendas for this party. On the occasion of Bal Thackeray’s birth anniversary, Amit Thackeray – son of Raj Thackeray – was also appointed as MNS leader.
