On Wednesday, March 9, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray stated that the health of the state chief minister Uddhav Thackeray was the “actual reason” behind the delay of the civic polls in Maharashtra, stated reports.

During his address to the party, the MNS President added that however, he didn’t wish to discuss the health of any person or politician. While interacting with the gathering on the 16th foundation day of MNS in Pune, he said that the Maharashtra government had postponed the elections owing to the OBC reservation issue.

However, he believes that this isn’t the real cause. He added that he doesn’t intend to discuss one’s health issue, but the civic polls have been delayed in the state due to the CM’s health issue. He went on to claim that the people aren’t ready for an election presently because of the problems occurring owing to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The party leader alleged that there was no enthusiasm or a conducive atmosphere for an election presently.

He then took a dig at governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari for his statement that the Samarth Ramdas was the “guru” of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The MNS chief then criticized Shiv Sena minister Sanjay Raut for his “baseless” statements on the many problems recently.
