India and its citizens including the opposition parties have been raising their voice against the rising petrol and diesel prices. With the petrol being sold at ₹90 per litre, the prices of essential commodities are also increasing. Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has found a unique way to protest against this inflation.  

MNS Thane District President Avinash Jadhav wrote to Guinness Book of World Record demanding to recognise and register India’s “pity” or “poor” condition.

For the last few months, the fuel prices are constantly on the rise with petrol being sold at more than ₹90 per litre. Also, the opposition parties protested against the central government in a nationwide strike called by the Congress over the hike in petroleum prices. Despite that, the rates have been constantly increasing and the central government is not ready to do anything.

It is unfortunate that when the public awaits fuel prices to go down and demands an explanation from the concerned authority, the government backs down,” said MNS Thane District President Avinash Jadhav.
