In a message sent to Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis' wife Amruta, designer Aniksha Jaisinghani said that her father was in touch with NCP president Sharad Pawar and former chief minister Uddhav Thackeray, the Mumbai police claimed in the sessions court on Monday.


Not only this, the police also claimed that various political figures are likely to be involved in this conspiracy to first bribe Amruta and then extort extortion from her. He also told the court that it is necessary to investigate this. The Mumbai Police raised the above claim while opposing Aniksha's bail.


Aniksha had requested Amruta to wear the clothes, jewelry and footwear she designed in public events so that they could be promoted. After winning Amruta's trust, Aniksha told her that she is in touch with some bookies and they can get her a lot of money. The police also alleged that Aniksha had offered a bribe of INR 1 crore to Amruta to free her father and bookie Anil Jaisinghani from police cases.


Aniksha's behavior was very disappointing and advised her not to contact him. But Aniksha sent us the tapes of her house from an unknown number. Also, the police told the court that Amruta had said in the complaint that her father was in touch with Pawar and Thackeray and had threatened to make these tapes available to them. It was a planned conspiracy and Aniksha dared to breach the security around the Deputy Chief Minister's bungalow and film the house. Therefore, this conspiracy needs to be investigated deeply. Police said that if Aniksha gets bail, she may obstruct the investigation and threaten Amruta again.


Aniksha was arrested in this case on March 16. After being sent to judicial custody last week, Aniksha applied for bail. At that time, the court ordered the Mumbai Police to file a reply to her application and adjourned the case for hearing on Monday. While seeking bail, Aniksha claimed that the crime was based on assumptions and the arrest and subsequent police custody was in violation of the Constitution and the provisions of the Criminal Procedure Code.
