After Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Ajit Pawar questioned Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray regarding the construction of Balasaheb Thackeray memorial, his remarks invited huge criticism from Shiv Sena. In its mouthpiece, Saamana, Shiv Sena took a dig at his political life saying that Pawar has no value in politics and is surviving because of NCP chief Sharad Pawar.

Calling the former Maharashtra Deputy CM a “Gutter Worm” and “corrupt”, Shiv Sena said that Pawar in his statement has insulted Shiv Sena founder Bal Thackeray along with Lord Ram. In the editorial, Shiv Sena said that NCP is a tent sitting on Sharad Pawar’s lap and Pawar is at the apex of this ‘tent’.

Reacting to the write up published in Saamana, NCP leader Ajit Pawar took a dig at Uddhav Thackeray saying that those who could not build the memorial of their father, since five years, talk about constructing Ram Mandir.

If I am in Politics because of Sharad Pawar, Uddhav Thackeray also exists because of his father. Uddhav Thackeray is visible because Bal Thackeray established Shiv Sena. I asked a question about Balasaheb’s memorial and it did not go well with Uddhav Thackeray. It is visible from the language used in the editorial,” Pawar further said pointing out that hideous language is what can be expected out of Shiv Sena.

Criticising Shiv Sena of being a “hypocrite”, Pawar added that Shiv Sena is becoming mad and is close to its political end.
