Aaditya Thackeray has created history as he is the first person from the Thackeray family contesting elections. He was contesting from the Worli constituency and won with a margin of 61,782 votes against Nationalist Congress Party's (NCP) Suresh Mane.

As there is a tiff between current Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Yuva Sena chief Aaditya Thackeray on who will be the next Chief Minister, posters of addressing Aaditya Thackeray as a Chief Minister have already started popping up in Worli. The posters stated 'Congratulations Yuva Sena Chief and Chief Minister Aaditya Thackeray on winning the elections.'
Notably, in a recent press event that was held by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis at BJP's office in Nariman Point, Fadnavis stated that he has discussed the matters with Shiv Sena and both the parties have mutually agreed to a point that Maharashtra is all set to witness history as a Chief Minister will get another tenure for the first time.
