Filing of applications for assembly elections is commencing from Tuesday, October 22. However, the Mahayuti and Mahavikas Aghadi have not been able to agree on seat sharing yet. After the announcement of the BJP list, the disgruntled leaders of the party have planned a revolt. Apart from BJP and Vanchit Aghadi, none of the other parties have announced their list of candidates even after the deadline for filing applications.
Efforts are being made to pacify the disgruntled people in the BJP. Ganesh Naik's son Sandeep Naik, who was denied candidature in Belapur constituency, has set his sights on rebellion. He is planning a rally for his supporters. The BJP has announced Nitesh Rane as candidate from Kankavali constituency. Nilesh Rane also wants to contest from Kudal constituency. But as this constituency is under the control of Shiv Sena (Shinde) in the Mahayuti, there is a possibility that they will join Shinde's party. Narayan Rane himself is an MP and both his sons are candidates for the Legislative Assembly. A meeting of the party's Central Election Committee was held in New Delhi in the evening to finalise the list of Congress candidates. It is known that the candidature of most of the MLAs has been decided.

There is still no agreement on the seat distribution of BJP, Shiv Sena (Shinde), NCP (Ajit Pawar) in the Mahayuti. It was said that the allocation of seats was stalled as the BJP was not ready to give up more than 80 seats to Chief Minister Shinde's Shiv Sena. Congress and Shiv Sena (Thackeray) have not come to a consensus even in Mahavikas Aghadi.
