Speaking on the 52nd foundation day of Shiv Sena at Goregaon’s NESCO exhibition centre, Thackeray slammed the opposition parties including its ally Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and announced that the party will fight the upcoming polls solely.

Ahead of the elections next year, Shiv Sena has started its preparations for the same and while taking a jibe at the BJP’s membership drive, Thackeray said that Shiv Sena won’t accept admissions through missed calls.

“I want a Shiv Sainik who is willing to make Shiv Sena emerge as the number one party in Maharashtra,” asserted that Shiv Sena chief specifying that he only wants a “Male” member for the same or the one who is masculine enough to pull this task.

Speaking on the pull out of BJP from its alliance in Jammu and Kashmir, Thackeray expressed that the BJP took three years to come to this decision after 600 soldiers were martyred. However, Thackeray criticised BJP’s decision to initiate ceasefire in the valley during Ramadan.

Targeting Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Chief Sharad Pawar, the Shiv Sena supremo refuted to join the third-front being formed by like-minded parties to defeat BJP in the upcoming elections next year.

The so-called rumours of MNS’ loyal Shishir Shinde joining Shiv Sena were true. On the occasion of Shiv Sena’s 52nd foundation day, Shishir Shinde’s Ghar Wapsi to the party was officially finalised.
