Yuva Sena chief Aditya Thackeray on Monday put an end to the speculations while declaring that he will contest the 2019 assembly elections in Maharashtra from Worli constituency. The state assembly elections are scheduled on October 21. 

While speaking at Shiv Sena’s Vijay Sankalp Mela, Aditya Thackeray announced its candidacy while stating, “I will contest the elections only when I have your permission.”

With this, Aditya Thackeray becomes the first from his family to participate in the election process. Moreover, Worli is known to be a stronghold for Shiv Sena and Thackeray will step into active politics with a safe seat in his hands. 

We want to develop not only Worli but the whole of Maharashtra which is my ‘karmabhoomi’ (workplace) and I will work for it,” said Shiv Sena candidate Aditya Thackeray.

As the crowd of Shiv Sena supporters expressed enthusiasm, the Yuva Sena chief said that this eagerness should be seen in every village and street of Maharashtra.
