On Wednesday, February 2, Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar stated that the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) budget will be presented tomorrow, Thursday, February 3, stated news agency ANI.

During her interaction with the reporters, she remarked that the Shiv Sena does not present “Jumle Ka Budget”. She added that considering the upcoming elections, they will be presenting a pro-people Budget.

Apart from this, Pednekar elucidated that the Shiv Sena is fully ready for the upcoming BMC elections and mentioned that they will win the elections this time around as well.

Previously, reports stated that the outlay for the BMC budget is anticipated to augment at nearly 7-8 per cent and cross INR 40,000 crore. Speculations have also been made that no new taxes are likely to be proposed.

Nonetheless, a slight rise in charges for water and other services is being speculated. On the other hand, healthcare, infrastructure and education could get a boost. Apart from this, narratives claim that allocation may be set aside for the beautification of traffic islands as well as footpaths.
