Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has crossed the limit and irked Maharashtrians, especially the people of Mumbai, by making a statement regarding the city which is home to crores of hardworking people. While the general public has expressed its views, politicians have challenged Kangana Ranaut regarding the same. The exchange of statements on social media platforms has not taken a new turn.

Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut was one of the many politicians who was disturbed with the remarks made by Kangana and talking about the same, he said that he has 'no personal issues' with the actress, but her comment on comparing Mumbai with Pakistan-occupied Kashmir was not in the right taste.

Speaking to reporters in Mumbai, Sanjay Raut said, "Maharashtra belongs to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj." He added that if someone makes such serious statements about Maharashtra or Mumbai, then it is not just a matter of one party, as it involves crores of people in the state.

Raut further stated that Mumbai does not belong only to Shiv Sena and is a land for everyone. Kangana's statement has bothered all the political parties. Raut also shared that BJP MLA Ashish Shelar has also given his statement, however, he should say the same thing loudly.

Maharashtra  Minister Anil Parab also addressed the issue on Friday, September 4, 2020, and said that whatever he expressed was on the behalf of his party.

Besides politicians, several Bollywood actors have also expressed their thoughts and Raut congratulated them for raising their voice. He said that the government will now take necessary action, and the issue should end.
