BJP leader Jay Bhagwan Goyal recently announced his new book titled 'Aaj ke Shivaji: Narendra Modi' and this has irked Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut. Talking to the media regarding the same, Raut spoke about the comparison of the warrior king with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, calling this 'insulting'.

Keeping the same in mind, he also asked Shivaji Maharaj's descendants to clarify their stand over the issue, by adding that BJP should make an announcement clarifying that there is no reference in the book in regards to comparison between Modi with Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

Speaking about the same, he said, that all the parties of the Maharashtra Vikas Aghadi government led by Uddhav Thackeray have criticised the book. He also hinted that Shivaji Maharaj's descendants who quit NCP and joined BJP, should leave the party, considering this as an insult.

"A BJP leader has written the book titled 'Aaj Ke Shivaji: Narendra Modi', which we find insulting. The party should clarify whether it considers Prime Minister Narendra Modi as great as Shivaji Maharaj, Chhatrapati Shivaji's descendants should clarify if they like Modi being compared to him. They should quit the BJP over the book," Raut said.

The book was published at the party office in Delhi and one of the descendants and member of BJP, Sambhaji Raje has spoken to Amit Shah and demanded a ban on the book.
