Shiv Sena MLA Sunil Prabhu on Monday said that the party has never opposed the Mumbai-Nagpur Samruddhi highway but their demand focuses on providing compensation to the farmers who have been displaced.

While talking to Mumbai Live, Prabhu claimed that now that the farmers have got the compensation, there is no reason to oppose the project. Prabhu said that this could happen because of Eknath Shinde. With the construction of the highway, the travel time between the two cities will reduce.
