Shiv Sena, a huge name in Maharashtra politics, is planning to fight the upcoming elections in Karnataka. Shiv Sena senior leader, Sanjay Raut informed that the party has decided to contest elections for 50 to 55 seats in the poll-bound state.
After losing elections in the assembly elections from Goa and Uttar Pradesh, Shiv Sena has shifted its Morcha to Karnataka. It said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will find it hard to win elections in Karnataka now.
Earlier, Shiv Sena leader Uddhav Thackeray announced that the party will fight the Lok Sabha and Legislative Assembly elections without any coalition or support of any other party.
Sanjay Raut also appreciated the Maharashtra Integration Committee (MIC) for its decision to fight elections in Karnataka and said that Shiv Sena won’t participate in the elections from the areas where MIC members are contesting.
Talking about the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Raut said that CM Devendra Fadnavis must support Maharashtra Integration Committee in Karnataka if he is truly the CM of Maharashtra.
