Caught distributing sarees, Sena workers held for breach of Code

Charkop- An Election Commission squad trapped Shiv Sena women party workers violating Code of Conduct by distributing sarees at Kandivali on Monday.

Shiv Sena candidate Sandhya Vipul Doshi’s supporters have been caught red handed by the Election Commission squad while they were distributing sarees to women in ward 18, sector 3 of Charkop. The Election Code of Conduct, in force till the day of the election, forbids any such acts or malpractices and are viewed as violation of the Code of Conduct, and counted as criminal offense.

The squad took the women into custody and handed them over to Charkop police. A complaint has been lodged and further investigations are underway.
