Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray might back Patidar leader Hardik Patel for the upcoming Gujarat Assembly elections which can take place by December end.
According to political experts, Shiv Sena decided to join hands with Patidar leader, as the latter had backed Shiv Sena in the BMC elections. There are chances, that Patidar leader Hardik Patel would rally with Uddhav Thackeray in Gujarat.
However, the Sena is in two minds, as the party had to taste defeat in 2002 and 2007 when the Sena contested in nine constituencies but lost the seats. Meanwhile, other than Gujarat Assembly elections, the Shiv Sena party is planning to contest for Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Goa.
Shiv Sena knows very well that Gujarat is Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s hometown and it has all the potential to change the equation in politics. If elections work in favour of Shiv Sena in Gujarat assembly elections, then it might work for them which will impact its warring ally BJP.
It is believed that the Sena is planning to join Hardik Patel for upcoming Gujarat elections to teach a lesson to its ally, BJP.
